Superior Plug Production For Quality Lawn Grass Plugs From SeedlandHow Seedland and our grower Bethel Farms go to extensive lengths to provide our customers with high quality "success oriented"
grass plugs for your lawn or other areas.
The 3" x 3" Grass Lawn Plugs sold by Seedland are
produced in the Florida area under an extensive growing
program by one of the largest turf / sod growers in the USA
-- The grass plugs start with production in a regular sod field.
Once the field has matured sufficiently the sod is harvested
and brought into to the tray processing area.
At that time the sod is cut into 3" square plugs
placed in the plastic trays of 18 plugs each (1.5 sq.ft). The
trays are then returned to irrigation fields where thousands of
trays are maintained, mowed, watered and fertilized to encourage the
plugs to continue their growth to produce a high quality grass plug with a
WELL established root system (such as in picture above).
Picture here on the right: Extensive field of grass plugs growing.
These are all grass plugs in trays - thousands & thousands of trays of grass plugs alive and growing.
This extensive extra work and
cost results are worth it because the end result is a much
higher quality / healthy plug with a MUCH reduced risk of
having any losses or problems in achieving a successful lawn grass
establishment. See our customer testimonials below.
Once the plugs are fully matured they are placed
in boxes for shipment to our customers throughout the
warm-season grass growing areas of the USA -- with the exception of Zoysia grass plugs which will survive further north.

From Huntsville Alabama -- "PLUGS-PALMETTO: St. Augustine Grass... OK. Here is the scoop.... I tested this last year as plugs in the worst, hard pan shady area of my lawn. Gave it 1 month of pampering and on its own it went. It turned into a
lawn by the end of the summer at 12" planting distances. Needs virtually no additional water in
Huntsville AL, and effectively looks like fescue! Spreads lightning fast and a nice green color.
Virtually does NOT go dormant in Huntsville AL. Highly recommended. Best kept secret, bar none." -- Steven Gaj
From South-Central Mississippi -- "My Celebration plugs have grown thick this summer. beautiful grass!"-- Jared Thomas - Photographer
See Jared's Photo here of Celebration Bermuda
grass plugs that he planted in April and were well established by June.
These are just 2 of the many positive comments we receive about our grass lawn plugs.
